Neuropathic Pain Questionnaire (NPQ)
Please visit this website for more information about the instrument: Neuropathic Pain Questionnaire (NPQ)
Exploratory: Spinal Cord Injury (SCI)
Short Description of Instrument
The NPQ is a 12-item assessment tool used to screen neuropathic pain.
The 12 items include 10 questions related to sensations or sensory responses and 2 related to affect.
Each item is rated on a 0 to 100 NRS scale and each score is multiplied by a given coefficient. If the product of all the sums is greater than 0, then the presence of neuropathic pain is likely. If the product is less than 0, then neuropathic pain is unlikely.
