Supplemental – Highly Recommended: Parkinson's Disease (PD)
Short Description of Instrument
The Parkinson's Disease Quality of Life Questionnaire (PDQL) is a disease-specific instrument to assess quality of life in patients with Parkinson's Disease. The PDQL is comprised of 37 items making up 4 subscales: parkinsonian symptoms (14 items); systemic symptoms (7 items); emotional functioning (9 items) and social functioning (7 items).
Patients indicate on a 5 point Likert scale (1-all of the time; 2-most of the time; 3-some of the time; 4-a little of the time; 5-never) how often they had trouble with each respective item in the last 3 months. Higher scores indicate better HRQL.
