Short Description of Instrument |
The Conners' Teacher and Parent Rating Scale is designed to provide complete overview of child and adolescent concerns and disorders, specifically to assist in evaluating children with attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder.
Description: The Conners' Parent and Teacher forms assess behavior, emotions, academic and social problems. It is 80-items long for the parent version and 59-items long for the teacher version. The ages for the parent and teacher forms are 6-18 years of age.
Comment: It assists in the diagnostic processes, identifies and qualifies students to be included or excluded in the special education classroom, assists in the development of an intervention treatment plan, monitors the patient's response to an intervention/treatment and evaluates its effectiveness. The parent form is one comprehensive length and suggested for the initial evaluation and re-evaluations. The teacher form provides comprehensive results and is also suggested for the initial evaluation and re- evaluations. Differences between home and school are highlighted when used together.
