CDE Catalog

***Please contact the NINDS CDE Team (NINDSCDE@emmes.com) if you encounter any search difficulties.***

The CDE Catalog is a directory of the available NINDS CDEs. Users can search the Catalog to isolate a subset of the CDEs (e.g., all stroke-specific CDEs, etc.), and to view and download details about the CDEs.

Select any filter below to search the CDE Catalog.

For best results, clear form between searches. In addition, when specifying NeuroRehab, Sport-Related Concussion (SRC) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as the Disease, please select a Subdisease as well.

NeuroRehab Comprehensive includes all NeuroRehab CDE recommendations. NeuroRehab General includes all NeuroRehab CDE recommendations that are not disease specific. All other NeuroRehab Subdiseases include recommendations specific to existing NINDS CDE project disorders.

Choose your Time Frame for your SRC study (Acute (time of injury until 72 hours), Subacute (after 72 hours to 3 months), and Persistent/Chronic (3 months and greater post-concussion) or Comprehensive if your study falls across the study time frames.

Choose your type of TBI study (Acute Hospitalized, Concussion/Mild TBI, Moderate/Severe TBI: Rehabilitation, or Epidemiology) or Comprehensive if your study falls outside of the study types or incorporates aspects of more than one type of study.

C02433 Ventricle - fourth shift effacement measurement

Measured amount of fourth ventricle shift/effacement in mm (maximal distance from expected location in any direction)

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02438 Intracerebral hemorrhage findings type

Further describes the intracerebral hemorrhage

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02440 Intracerebral hemorrhage indicator

Indicator of a collection of confluent, relatively homogeneous blood within the brain parenchyma

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02441 Intracerebral hemorrhage anatomic site

Anatomic site of the intracerebral hemorrhage

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02442 Intracerebral hemorrhage entire lesion volume measurement

Measured volume of entire intracerebral hemorrhage including surrounding signal abnormalities

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02446 Intraventricular hemorrhage status

Indicator of acute-appearing blood within the ventricles

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02451 Ischemia infarction hypoxic-ischemic injury status

Status of findings in tissue which sustains, for a variety of reasons, a deficit between substrate demand and delivery

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02452 Ischemia infarction hypoxic-ischemic injury anatomic site

Anatomic site of the ischemia/infarction/hypoxic-ischemic injury

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02454 Midline shift supratentorial measurement

Measured amount of midline shift in mm. Shift is measured at the foramen of Monro, or alternatively, where it is greatest

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02455 Midline shift supratentorial indicator

Displacement of the supratentorial midline structures, particularly the septum pellucidum, 2 mm or more due to mass effect of a focal traumatic lesion or brain swelling

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02456 Midline shift supratentorial displacement type

Side of the midline shift

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02457 Penetrating injury brain associate finding type

Findings related to penetrating injury

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02458 Penetrating injury deepest extent penetrated brain anatomic site

Anatomic site of the deepest layer of the head penetrated by the injury

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02459 Penetrating injury brain status

Status of injuries caused by traumatic forces which penetrate any of the normal layers of the head, including scalp, skull, dura, and brain (excluding superficial scalp injuries)

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02460 Penetrating injury brain anatomic site

Anatomic site of the penetrating injury

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02463 Skull fracture status

Status of a break in the normal integrity of the skull, which may be partial or full thickness, caused by presumed mechanical force

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02464 Skull fracture anatomic site

Anatomic site of the skull fracture

Supplemental Imaging Traumatic Brain Injury Epidemiology
C02465 Skull fracture morphology findings type

Findings related to morphology of the skull fracture
