CDE Catalog

***Please contact the NINDS CDE Team (NINDSCDE@emmes.com) if you encounter any search difficulties.***

The CDE Catalog is a directory of the available NINDS CDEs. Users can search the Catalog to isolate a subset of the CDEs (e.g., all stroke-specific CDEs, etc.), and to view and download details about the CDEs.

Select any filter below to search the CDE Catalog.

For best results, clear form between searches. In addition, when specifying NeuroRehab, Sport-Related Concussion (SRC) or Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) as the Disease, please select a Subdisease as well.

NeuroRehab Comprehensive includes all NeuroRehab CDE recommendations. NeuroRehab General includes all NeuroRehab CDE recommendations that are not disease specific. All other NeuroRehab Subdiseases include recommendations specific to existing NINDS CDE project disorders.

Choose your Time Frame for your SRC study (Acute (time of injury until 72 hours), Subacute (after 72 hours to 3 months), and Persistent/Chronic (3 months and greater post-concussion) or Comprehensive if your study falls across the study time frames.

Choose your type of TBI study (Acute Hospitalized, Concussion/Mild TBI, Moderate/Severe TBI: Rehabilitation, or Epidemiology) or Comprehensive if your study falls outside of the study types or incorporates aspects of more than one type of study.

C10744 Echocardiogram left ventricle fractional shortening measurement

Measurement of the difference between end-diastolic and end-systolic dimensions of the left ventricle divided by end-diastolic dimension obtained by echocardiography. FS or Fractional Shortening in percentage = EDD minus ESD divided by EDD times 100, where EDD = LV End Diastolic Dimension and ESD = LV End Systolic Dimension

Supplemental Echocardiogram Stroke Stroke
C12913 Echocardiogram study quality type

Type of quality of the echocardiogram study

Supplemental Echocardiogram II Stroke Stroke

Measurement of the left atrial dimension obtained by echocardiography

Supplemental Echocardiogram II Stroke Stroke
C02469 Subarachnoid hemorrhage indicator

Indicator of macroscopic blood located between the brain surface and the arachnoid membrane. On CT and MR, the blood in this location will follow the contour of the sulci and cisterns. Acute SAH is hyperdense on CT and hyperintense on FLAIR MR imaging

Supplemental Parenchymal Imaging Stroke Stroke
C12872 Echocardiogram mitral valve stenosis degree status

Status of the degree of mitral valve stenosis as assessed by echocardiography

Supplemental Echocardiogram II Stroke Stroke

Measured volume of the traumatic aneurysm in mm (calculated from length of involved vessel)

Supplemental Vessel Imaging Angiography Stroke Stroke
C10729 Echocardiogram left atrial antero - posterior dimension measurement

Measurement of the left atrial antero-posterior dimension obtained by echocardiography

Supplemental Echocardiogram II Stroke Stroke
C10570 Imaging contrast agent used indicator

Indicator of whether an imaging contrast agent was used for the scan

Supplemental Vessel Carotid Ultrasound Stroke Stroke
C10743 Echocardiogram tricuspid valve regurgitation degree status

Status of the degree of regurgitation (leaking of the valve that allows blood to flow in the reverse direction) in the tricuspid valve as assessed by echocardiography

Supplemental Echocardiogram II Stroke Stroke
C01521 Heart rate

The participant's pulse or number of contractions (heart beats) per minute

Core Vital Signs Stroke Stroke
C00314 Medical history taken date and time

Date (and time, if applicable and known) the participant's medical history was taken
