The items cover areas of accident, combat, sexual, criminal assault, natural disaster, torture, burns, loss of property, near death experiences and bereavement trauma. It provides subscale scores as well as severity and frequency of a trauma in addition to a total score. It evaluates the distress of the individual to a particular event and how much distress this event has given the individual in the past week.
